Jim Bray is a compassionate teacher and versatile theatre artist, blending rigorous Meisner-based training with humor and accessibility in the classroom, while maintaining a strong professional presence on stage and screen.

Originally from Winston-Salem, NC, Jim has been a professional actor for more than two decades. His enjoyment for curating artistic communities is reflective of his artistic journey in bringing specific, character driven work to the stage.

Jim is on faculty at UNC Chapel Hill as Teaching Assistant Professor in the Department of Dramatic Arts, and is one of the resident company members with PlayMakers Repertory Company.
